As a full time IV Room Pharmacy Technician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, The pharmacy sterile compounding technician is cross trained in various locations including the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center IV room, ambulatory infusion clinic (AIC), outpatient cancer centers. All duties are performed independently by the technician under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
• Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
• Ability to perform calculations involving ratios, proportions, and percentages.
• Adequate computer skills necessary to complete assigned projects and tasks.
• Proficiency in the operation of specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties independently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Rotate shifts days and evenings, alternate weekends.
• Cross train in various locations including IV room, ambulatory infusion clinic, and outpatient cancer centers.
