About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician Instructor at IHG INC. is responsible for planning, teaching, and supervising student learning experiences in various settings including the classroom, skills lab, and clinical areas. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmacy field.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Valid Pharmacy Technician License from the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• 2-5 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations.
• Proficient computer skills and accurate data entry abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in laboratory settings.
• Military experience is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the total curriculum as assigned by the direct supervisor.
• Teach and supervise student learning experiences in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical areas.
• Identify individual and collective learning needs of students.
• Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
• Prepare, administer, and grade written and practical examinations.
• Devise and implement lesson plans through various teaching methods such as lecture and demonstration.
• Discuss student concerns related to their learning experience.
• Participate in meetings with the Program Director or designee.
• Assist students in developing values and attitudes appropriate to the health care profession.
• Select and prepare instructional materials.
