About The Position
Fortis College in Dothan, Alabama is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Pharmacy Technician Instructor to join its faculty. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach Pharmacy classes in our Pharmacy Technician Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Pharmacy Technician courses. The typical teaching load is 2 courses each term. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.
Requirements
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician program resulting in a Diploma or Certificate of Completion; associate degree preferred
- Certification: PTCB and/or CPhT
- At least three years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated and results driven
Nice To Haves
- Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
