About The Position

An Opportunity to Join our Remarkable Care In-Patient Pharmacy Tech in the Pharmacy Department awaits YOU!!!! Provides daily pharmacy technical services to inpatients, outpatients and other Health Center departments, working under strict time constraints. Responds to routine and emergency requests in a prompt and efficient manner requiring a moderate amount of independent judgment, an advanced level of technical knowledge and a high degree of accuracy. Good communication skills are necessary. IV Compounding skills are mandatory. The consequences of a compounding or drug selection error, if undetected, could result in serious patient injury.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of six months of hospital or retail pharmacy experience or completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily pharmacy technical services to inpatients and outpatients.
• Responds to routine and emergency requests promptly and efficiently.
• Utilizes independent judgment and advanced technical knowledge.
• Maintains a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
• Performs IV compounding as required.
