About The Position

This position assists in the nonprofessional aspects of preparing and distributing medications and performs the clerical duties of the department. All medication-associated duties are performed under the direct supervision of licensed personnel (Registered Pharmacists). Requirements

  • Demonstrates skill in daily communication including effectively gathering and disseminating information.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
  • Demonstrates skill on proactively resolving problems, recommending, and implementing continuous quality improvements.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in aseptic techniques for the preparation of IV solutions.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Hospital’s Information System (Pharmacy and B/AR), as well as the ability to work in Microsoft’s Word and Excel.
  • Provides customer service and support in a manner consistent with the health system’s goals and expectations
  • High School education with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Associate Degree preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification & NYS license preferred.
