About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician-Inpatient position at Ascension St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a full-time role that requires working night shifts on a 7on/7off schedule from 8 PM to 7 AM. The technician will provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist, ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy department.

Requirements

• Current licensed Pharmacy Technician.
• In Training Pharmacy Tech obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Indiana Board Of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Pharmacy Intern obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist.
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
• Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
• Repackage bulk medications.
• Receive and store incoming supplies.
• Serve as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professional by providing information as necessary.
