About The Position

The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System is recruiting four Pharmacy Technicians - Inpatient Distribution to help care for our Veterans as part of Pharmacy Service. This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT until December 30 - 2025. Qualified applicants will be considered until all positions are filled. Duties Eastern Oklahoma - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iV_-GjjarRE Total Rewards - Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Pharmacy technicians at this level are nationally certified and can work autonomously using independent judgement to perform a full range of duties Required to have principles - practices - concepts - and theories providing for sound independent work Responsible for computerized prescription process and input of prescriptions and medication orders or electronic equivalent Resolves pharmacy/medication issues with other members of the healthcare team - Veterans - and external customers Trains developmental pharmacy technicians and students Dispenses medication or sterile products following all regulations - policies - and procedures to ensure safe medication distribution Troubleshoots automated dispensing equipment (ADE) or technology platforms/databases Assist advanced/ specialized pharmacy technicians and participate in performance improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for computerized prescription process and input of prescriptions and medication orders or electronic equivalent
  • Resolves pharmacy/medication issues with other members of the healthcare team - Veterans - and external customers
  • Trains developmental pharmacy technicians and students
  • Dispenses medication or sterile products following all regulations - policies - and procedures to ensure safe medication distribution
  • Troubleshoots automated dispensing equipment (ADE) or technology platforms/databases
  • Assist advanced/ specialized pharmacy technicians and participate in performance improvement initiatives
