About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician III at AdventHealth Orlando plays a crucial role in supporting pharmacists and providing distributive pharmacy services. Requirements

• High School Degree
• One year of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in their respective state
• Sterile Compounding Certification (if applicable)

Nice To Haves

• Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
• Certification from the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT)
• Certification from the National Health Career Association (NHA)

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage as listed on patient orders.
• Supports pharmacists and provides distributive pharmacy services.
• Provides safe and accurate medication services to support direct patient care.
• Maintains operational expertise in pharmacy technician services provided by Central Pharmacy IV Room.
• Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems.
• Accurately interprets electronic records and manages patient profile records.
• Prepares accurate medication products for delivery and prevents medication errors.
• Facilitates medication safety practices and identifies potential medication errors.
• Maintains personal continuing education plan and completes CE modules for licensure renewal.
