Responsibilities

• Fills and delivers/dispenses medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Performs advanced technical tasks in specialty areas such as medication histories, sterile and non-sterile preparation, payer adjudication, call center, clinical pharmacy support, and inventory management.
• Collaborates with pharmacy leadership, peers, nurses, and providers to improve patient outcomes and quality metrics.
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician scope of practice to the staff pharmacist or supervisor as needed.
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care and operates pharmacy equipment appropriately.
• Trains and precepts pharmacy technicians and students in areas of experience.
