About The Position
Pharmacy Technician II – Retail Pharmacy Location: 1222 S Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32806 Schedule: 32 hours per week Mostly 6-hour shifts, Monday–Friday At least one evening shift per week (approx. 12:30 PM – 7:00 PM) Remaining shifts will be opening (8:30 AM) or late morning (10:30 AM – 5:00 PM) Position Overview The Pharmacy Technician II supports operational and distribution responsibilities within the Retail Pharmacy, including use of Orlando Health software and hardware systems. This role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient medication handling while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Pharmacy Technician registration with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy.
- 1–4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication distribution, including aseptic techniques for admixture and automated dispensing cabinet tasks.
- Maintain USP 797 standards and required documentation.
- Perform basic pharmacy technician procedures and buyer responsibilities, including drug procurement.
- Operate pharmacy equipment safely and in accordance with policy.
- Participate in training new technicians and cover specialized services as needed (e.g., medication history acquisition).
- Ensure compliance with Orlando Health policies, safety regulations, and risk management procedures.
- Maintain punctual attendance and complete special projects as assigned.
