About The Position

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Technician II for our Pharmacy Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Technician II you will: • Performs sterile compounding according to USP 797 and 800 including electronic documentation • Maintains accurate inventory of medications and supplies by performing inventory management cycle counts; performs patient care unit inspections with electronic documentation • Prepares and delivers medication to patient care units; restocks automated dispensing units • Assesses need for and prepares prepackaged oral solid, and liquid medications for dispensing • Performs Medication History assessments • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an ASHP accredited or PTCB recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred
  • At least 2 years work experience in a pharmacy specifically using aseptic technique compliant with USP 797 and 800
  • Working knowledge of USP 795
  • Licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

Responsibilities
