About The Position

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician II - Sterile Preparations assists in the preparation and distribution of medications using appropriate pharmaceutical technique, computer programs and various technical automation equipment with a focus and specialization in sterile product preparations. Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent and 6+ months experience in a pharmacy setting as a pharmacy technician preparing sterile products.
  • Employees must obtain Registered Pharmacy Technician - MO or equivalent within 90 days.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician - MO Only if primary work location is in Missouri Required 90 Days.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician - KS Only if primary work location is in Kansas Required 90 Days.

Responsibilities

  • Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Contributes to the effective operation of the department.
  • Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
