  • Provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks.
  • Assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications.
  • Inventory management and regulatory compliance.
  • Accurately responding to medication dispensing requests.
  • Preparing medications for pharmacist final review/check.
  • Delivering checked medications and returning unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas.
  • Actively participating in outstanding customer service.
  • Maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
  • Facilitating medication safety practices by identifying and reporting potential medication errors.
  • Supporting practice in all pharmacy areas and clinical services.
  • Presenting to assigned areas on time and ready to work.
  • Mentoring new staff and assisting with training.
  • Supporting and participating in medication-use process improvements.
  • High School Grad or Equivalent.
  • Pharmacy Intern Sterile Compounding & Aseptic Technique-IV Cert Course.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) OR Current, valid State Pharmacist Intern license if applicable to state.
  • Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation.
  • Associates degree or technical degree in a related field or specific certification related to the position, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare.
  • One year of contemporary hospital pharmacy, retail or ambulatory experience.
  • Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or from the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT).
