About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State of Massachusetts Registered Pharmacy Technician certification.

• At least one year of experience in hospital or retail settings.
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
• Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.

Responsibilities

• Assists in dispensing of prescriptions and prepares topical and oral compounded products.
• Transcribes verbal prescriptions from doctors' offices at the discretion of the pharmacist on duty.
• Performs advanced register functions and advanced techniques in prescription processing.
• Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
• Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
• Completes Mandatory Education and performs all other duties as needed.
