About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician position at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center involves assisting pharmacists in medication preparation and distribution while ensuring a high degree of quality and accuracy during daily tasks. Pharmacy Technicians coordinate with co-workers and other staff members, including RNs, CNAs, and Pharmacists, to ensure correct and timely filling and distribution of patient medication orders. They are responsible for preparing and manufacturing medications as prescribed, following established protocols and procedures, and participating in the creation and management of medication histories in electronic health records.
