Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • No experience required
  • RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire is required And
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computers, the ability to adapt to various software systems, and basic math including conversions, proportions, ratios, and algebra. The ability to work alone, and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Other IV Certification Upon Hire Is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Functionality requiring additional competency above Tech I, may require less supervision than a Tech I
  • Autonomous responsibility either with record keeping or as a single point of contact outside the department
  • Delegated functions of pharmacy leadership (manager or lead technicians)
  • Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.
  • Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and patient safety standards, programs and initiatives.
