About The Position

Third shift. Thursday, Friday 8:30pm – 7:00am, Saturday 6:30pm – 7:00am, Sunday - Wednesday 10:00pm – 7:00am Pharmacy Department highlights: Fast paced department Shifts include Pyxis fills and IV compounding as needed Shifts only have one pharmacist and one tech, so the ideal candidate can work independently Looking for excellent critical thinking skills Ideal candidate has excellent communication skills Texas Health Allen has served the local community and surrounding areas of Collin County since 2000. Requirements

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
No experience Required
RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire is required
Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computers, the ability to adapt to various software systems, and basic math including conversions, proportions, ratios, and algebra.
The ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

1 year of hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician is strongly preferred.
Other IV Certification Upon Hire is preferred

Responsibilities

Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.
Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs, and initiatives. 25%25
Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time.
Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel.
Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
