About The Position
Job Summary:# To perform a variety of technical, clerical, and related duties in connection with the activities of the hospital pharmacy; utilizes automation to credit or charge medications to patient accounts;# fill requisitions and deliver drugs to nursing units; assist in checking, ordering, and storing floor stock items; and dispense medications under direct supervision of a pharmacist. Qualifications:# Completion of 12th grade (high school or equiv);##Six months prior#pharmacy work experience preferred;# Some ability #to perform accurate calculations and reports.# Some typing skills; Annual Registration with the NC State Board of Pharmacy is required. .# A new Pharmacy Technician hired but not already registered with the NC Board has 30#days from hire date to comply. Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is encouraged.# Once CPhT is obtained, promotion to Tech II status will be considered.## EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
