Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a PHARMACY TECHNICIAN to work in our Outpatient (Retail) Pharmacy department.

Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs accurate and timely preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products.

Requirements

• Knowledge of organizational and project management practices is normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Customer service skills and experience are beneficial.
• Experience in a health-related field, pharmacy, and computers beneficial.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Medication filling.
• Direct customer contact - answering phones, operating the register.
• Working directly with healthcare providers.
• Inventory management and prescription entry.
• Insurance processing.
