About The Position

Description Job Function: 01. Fills floor stock for all units and departments in the hospital. Picks up and delivers all floor stock, including stat deliveries. Performs hourly pickups and deliveries Job Function: 02. Replenishes emergency boxes and crash cart trays. Replenishes anesthesia trans when assigned. Job Function: 03. Fills medical labels for new orders and missing doses. Restocks work area. Restock supplies delivered on off shifts. Job Function: 04. Sorts and returns medications to shelves and/or refrigerator. Job Function: 05. Checks expiration dates when dispensing medications to pharmacists. Completes monthly inspections for expired medications. Job Function: 06. Answers phone calls, triages phone calls, handles issues that are within the scope of their job. Crediting medications when time allows. Job Function: 07. Transfers medication carts to nursing units. Job Function: 08. Assists the pharmacists in whatever is needed and asked of them that is within the scope of their job function. Job Function: 09. Attendance at staff meetings regularly. Participates in performance improvement initiatives with the department. Job Function: 10. Supports the departmental goals as a team player by assisting staff members and being flexible in roles and responsibilities. Complies with departmental coverage guidelines. Actively supports the Atlantic Health strategic goals. Supports cross campus communications and sharing of best practices. Qualifications Education/Experience 1. High School Diploma or equivalent required 2. Hospital Pharmacy experienced preferred 3. PTCB or NHA certification active or acquire within 6 months of hire 4. Current active registration with the State of NJ Board of Pharmacy required
