Works as a member of the Pharmacy Team under the direction of a pharmacist and in coordination with the other technicians. Activities include Intravenous admixture preparation, both small and large volume parenteral admixtures, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) solutions using proper aseptic technique and Inventory. Deliver medications as needed. Attends periodic area meetings. Position Highlights: Full-Time, 35 hours/week Schedule: 7 on/7 off, 9pm to 7:30am How You'll Impact Patient Care: Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Helps pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to make sure patients and departments get the right medications on time and are charged correctly. Works well with others and organizes daily tasks for maximum efficiency. Helps keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available. Offers pharmacy services in patient care areas. Takes part in team efforts to improve quality and support the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles. Keeps knowledge and skills up to date and helps educate others. Set personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives. Follows hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork.
