Pharmacy Technician I - Home Infusion
About The Position
Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in the Materials area of the Home Infusion pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for delivery ticket fulfillment, labeling and packaging medications orders and inventory management. The Pharmacy Technician I will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives. Location: Seven Lakes Pharmacy - 3650 Victoria St N Shoreview, MN Schedule: 1.0FTE - Rotating 7:00AM-3:00PM, 8:00AM-4:00PM, 10:00AM-6:00PM. One weekend per month.
Requirements
- Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program within one year of registering with state board OR one year of experience as a pharmacy clerk or like position within a healthcare setting.
- Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program
- Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program
- Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
Responsibilities
- Partner with nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) and supplies accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner.
- Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements.
- Coordinate the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.
- Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served
- Communicates in a respective manner.
- Ensures a safe, secure environment.
- Fulfills all organizational requirements
- Completes all required learning relevant to the role
- Complies with all relevant laws, regulation and policies
- Performs other duties as assigned.
