About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician Infusion Coordinator for our Home Health Pharmacy Team Location: Chesapeake, VA - Home Care Infusion Pharmacy Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk) Shift: Rotating - 8 hour shifts Hours: 8am-5:30pm The Pharmacy Technician Coordinator acts as liaison between homecare coordinators, central intake department, and pharmacy department. Assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders for pharmacist review. Collaborates with clinical pharmacists in patient outcomes management process. Coordinates patient deliveries with the daytime scheduler coordinator. Provides technical support in all aspects of pharmacy operations to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy. Requirements

  • Pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
  • CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB (Required)
  • 2 Years Pharmacy Experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Year Home Infusion, IV, or Sterile Compounding Experience (Preferred)
