About The Position

The Pharmacy Tech assists in preparing, packaging, delivering and charging of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Accredited training in sterile products preparation.
• Possession of current Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (depending on state regulations) required.
• Pharmacy experience.

Nice To Haves

• Two years hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Package and deliver medications.
• Charge medications appropriately.
