If this excites you, we'd love to have you join us. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of prescription orders to patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 1+ years of prior experience in counting/packing medications and prior authorizations
  • Certified pharmacy technician within the state of employment
  • Familiar with general pharmacy terminology (SIG codes, brand, and generic names of medications)
  • Proficient with a computer and Windows PC applications and able to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Available to work within operating hours: Houston Pharmacy Hours: Mon - Fri: 10am- 6pm CST, Sat/Sun: 11am - 3pm CST

Responsibilities

  • Interpreting and entering prescription information in compliance with state regulations
  • Using various computer systems to process prescriptions, compare orders, and generate labels
  • Packaging and delivering medications following standard procedures to ensure safe and secure delivery
  • Conducting quality assurance checks, reaching out to prescribers and patients when needed, and resolving third-party rejections
  • Preparing manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling the required medications from inventory, and completing necessary scanning and packaging
