Position Summary This is an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to excel in a complex, team-oriented environment while having the opportunity to develop and strengthen technical skills and pharmacology knowledge while working from home. The Non-Clinical Divert technician is responsible for screening orders, specializing in research, review and entry of prescription overrides. Basic knowledge and understanding of a pharmacy workflow, efficient using a computer and keyboard, strong problem solving skills and the ability to think globally is key to your success. As part of the team, you will have an important and uniquely rewarding role putting your skills and experiences to work in a closed-door practice setting. You will be essential to ensure patients receive their correct prescriptions in a timely manner and directing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification. We require our licensed pharmacy technicians to think outside the box and get creative! To help support growth and development, technicians may be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required. You will be expected to meet specified production and quality standards as defined by the management team. Colleagues must reside in the state of Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas. Hours vary per state operating hours, shifts are Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays (subject to change). Overtime/extended work weeks will be required when needed. The position is a work from home with training to be completed virtually. Requirements

  • Active Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides.
  • Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
  • Candidate must reside in the state of Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas.
  • Pennsylvania requires proof of license registration in process.
  • Texas requires an active state technician license.
  • Florida requires an active state technician license.
  • Illinois require active state technician license AND national certification (must be marked certified on state Illinois license).
  • Minimum of 6 months related pharmacy technician experience.
  • Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A secure and private room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area (i.e., desk, chair).
  • Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment.
  • Data Entry
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs.
  • Proof of Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 10 feet of your computer and a minimum speed of 25 mbps download and 3 mbps upload.
  • WIFI and satellite are not permitted.
  • Verifiable High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous mail order or retail pharmacy experience.
  • Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures.
  • Able to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescriptions medications and able to write routing correspondence.
  • Recognizing, identifying, and having general knowledge of commonly used generic drugs.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This includes the ability to calculate dosages and day-supply prescriptions.
  • Ability to work using multiple computer screens/monitors for extended periods of time.
  • Proficient in /able to troubleshooting computer issues.
