About The Position

The position involves working under direct supervision to accurately fill medication orders. The primary responsibility is to package medication orders according to the directions on the prescription label, ensuring that the product is accurate and neatly packaged. Additionally, the role includes assisting in inventory control, which involves handling credits and restocking inventory.

Requirements

• Must be able to work nights and weekends as required
• Must be available and on-time for scheduled work shifts
• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: AS Degree or Higher in Business Administration or related field
• Preferred hospital or retail pharmacy experience
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Outstanding customer service skills
• General knowledge of medications and physician orders
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Responsibilities

• Count, seal and label prescription cards
• Pull drugs and match NDC to prescription labels
• Return inventory to proper place
• Assist in the upkeep and cleanliness of each work station and the facility
• Fill each individual order accurately and properly
• Maintain reasonable production levels as determined by supervisor
• Maintain all quality assurances as required
• Assist in keeping adequate stocking levels
• Utilize RX computer system effectively
• Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned
