Position Summary CVS Health has an exciting opportunity in Mount Prospect, IL for a Pharmacy Technician to be a part of our Mail Order Pharmacy team! The Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring patients receive their medications in a timely manner. As part of the team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your Pharmacy Technician skills and experience to work in a closed-door pharmacy setting. You will make a difference by excelling in a complex, high impact dispensing role and positively impacting the lives of others. You will work alongside a team of talented individuals in a concerted team effort and under the direct supervision of Lead Technicians and Pharmacy Supervisors. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, team orientation, and problem-solving skills. As a filling Pharmacy Technician working in the pharmacy, you will be responsible for all aspects of the filling of mail order prescriptions. You get to manually fill and canister/channel fill for the automated machines. As a backend Pharmacy Technician, you get to work directly with the medication and the filing or operations of automated machines. It’s critical that you know how to use a 10 keypad and can lift 40 pounds. As a Pharmacy Technician you will be standing for the length of your shift. Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff is also required. Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 6:15am to 2:45pm Saturdays 7:30am to 4:00pm Off Thursday and Sundays
Requirements
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Colleague will be required to work mandatory overtime/extended work week when needed
- Ability to stand for 90-100% of shift
- Ability to reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk and lift up to 40 pounds
- Willingness to apply for a Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam successfully passed by December 31st of your 2nd IL Pharmacy Technician License renewal
- know how to use a 10 keypad
- Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff
Nice To Haves
- Formal Pharmacy Technician training
- Pharmacy Technician experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician prior to 2024
