Deliver Pharmacy Medications to patients’ homes. Based at one of the various outpatient pharmacy locations each day and rotates as needed. When not delivering, assists the pharmacist(s) with filling prescriptions, prescription data entry, controlled substance processing, cash register duties, inventory and stocking. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Ensures timely delivery of Specialty and non-specialty medications to patients’ homes Responsible for obtaining payment, offering counseling, and appropriate documentation of required activities during each delivery Responsible for ensuring that all medications are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing Maintains and protects at all times the right to privacy of all patients and hospital employees Promotes positive patient and co-worker interactions Reports and/or corrects safety hazards to immediate supervisor promptly Responsible for cash register, balancing end of day report, and delivery of deposit Assists in data entry and filing as required Correctly fills prescriptions, returns items to stock, and pulls expired medications Assists with inventory control including vials, bags, and other supplies as needed Other duties as assigned
