About The Position

BHS Pharmacy is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join their data entry team in a closed door pharmacy environment. The role focuses on accurately entering prescription information, managing insurance claims, and maintaining patient records, all while providing exceptional care without the pressures of a retail pharmacy setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Oregon Pharmacy Technician License
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Entering prescription information accurately into the pharmacy management system, including patient details, medication prescribed, dosage, and instructions.
• Reviewing and addressing rejected or denied claims by insurance companies, identifying the cause of rejection, and resubmitting corrected claims.
• Communicating effectively with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Updating patient profiles with accurate medical, prescription, and insurance information, ensuring that all records are current and complete.
• Performing administrative duties, including answering phones and processing orders.
