About The Position

A confidential pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician / Cashier to support pharmacists and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• MediClear certification or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and adhere to safety and confidentiality standards.

Nice To Haves

• Experience assisting pharmacists with prescriptions and pharmacy operations preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations and medical terminology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with labeling, filling, and verifying prescriptions.
• Provide customer service by assisting patients with drop-off and pick-up of medications.
• Enter and verify prescription orders in the pharmacy computer system for pharmacist review.
• Perform cashier duties, including processing cash, credit, and insurance payments, issuing refunds, and balancing daily transactions.
• Work with insurance carriers to secure payments and resolve billing issues.
• Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, storing, and tracking medications and supplies.
• Handle expired or discontinued products with proper documentation.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and pharmacy regulations while safeguarding sensitive information.
