Pharmacy Technician, Back End Full Time

Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, provides care to those in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings through closed-door pharmacies not open to the public. In this role, you will ensure all medication needs and regulatory standards are met for patients. You will work in various workstations to grow your skillsets, with the back-end team focusing on order fulfillment, including packaging and dispensing medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations.
Requirements
- Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
- One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in the long-term care industry
- Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- PTCB National Certification
- Five (5) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Ensure all medication needs and regulatory standards are met for patients
- Work in various workstations allowing you to grow your skillsets further
- Focus on order fulfillment in our closed-door pharmacy setting
- Package and dispense medication
- Review delivery orders and bins for accuracy
- Coordinate stock rotations
- Rotate and work in various assigned pharmacy workstations including: Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, Machine Packaging
- Receive product deliveries
- Pull and stage product for distribution
- Rotate stock
- Coordinate activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely
- Perform physical inventories of medication
