About The Position
Join Henry Ford Health as an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician and make a meaningful impact on patient care. Eligible for $5,000 Sign on bonus GENERAL SUMMARY: Schedule: Full Time 40 Hours per week - Rotating shifts between days and afternoons with occasional midnights. Every other weekend. Rotating holidays. Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist prior to receiving certification. Our hospital is a destination for specialty care including heart, cancer, and stroke care. Our OB-GYNs/maternity care teams deliver a personalized birthing experience and advanced neonatal care for sick babies. We offer a range of minimally invasive procedures using robotic-assisted technology, imaging, and a inpatient rehabilitation center, all on one campus.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience -OR- Associate's degree/Technical degree -OR- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Responsibilities
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department.
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds. Repackage bulk medications.
- Receive and store incoming supplies.
- Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information.
