About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician Acute Care assists to receive, dispense, and deliver non-controlled and controlled medications to patients needing treatment. Working under close supervision, this role supports the registered pharmacist in delivering high-quality, safe patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year work experience (pharmacy experience preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Assists with receiving and stocking pharmaceuticals and supplies in order to ensure availability for the registered pharmacist.
• Delivers pharmaceuticals and supplies to departments outside of the pharmacy.
• Operates technology to assist with receiving, stocking, preparing, and labeling non-controlled medications.
• Delivers high-quality medical care to patients by making non-controlled and controlled medications available for use.
• Completes medication regulatory and compliance activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
