About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician 340B Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the 340B program within the pharmacy department. This position involves overseeing compliance, monitoring daily activities, and ensuring accurate record-keeping for the 340B program. The coordinator serves as a subject matter expert, providing training and communication to staff, and assists in maintaining the integrity of the program while identifying and correcting compliance deficiencies.

Requirements

  • Registered as a technician with the NC Board of Pharmacy.
  • Completion of a formal or NCBOP approved pharmacy technician training program.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) completion required.
  • Completion of Apexus 340B Certificate within one year of hire.
  • 3 years of 340B Drug Pricing Program experience in healthcare required.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to accept constructive criticism.
  • Competence with various computer systems and troubleshooting problems independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epic, Pyxis, Carousel, and other pharmacy-related software.
  • Ability to critically think across various systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing program development and support for the 340B program.
  • Monitor daily activities related to the 340B program.
  • Ensure 340B program records are complete, accurate, and auditable.
  • Oversee compliance in medication procurement, billing, and inventory management.
  • Assist with the implementation of 340B policies and procedures.
  • Train and educate staff on 340B updates and compliance requirements.
  • Audit 340B purchasing records to ensure compliance and validate software functionality.
  • Utilize computerized systems and split-billing software for data management.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy leadership and other departments to resolve issues.
  • Assist with inventory control and other pharmacy tasks as needed.
