Assists pharmacist and prepares medications to be dispensed under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist according to State and Federal law. Experience 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a substantial hospital pharmacy environment with IV Admixture assignments -OR- Successful completion of the CHOA IV Admixture certification training program, with > 9 months documented proficiency in the area. Education High School Diploma Certification Summary Active registration with the State of Georgia as a Pharmacy Technician Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in reading, writing and mathematics are required. Proficient in all job functions as described in the Pharmacy Technician I job description. Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology. Good organizational skills and the ability to learn and use computer systems are required. Demonstrates leadership skills. Knowledge of Omnicell operations. Successful completion of the CHOA IV Admixture certification training program, with > 9 months documented proficiency in the area. Assignment to majority of shift work (>90%) in Pharmacy IV admixture, specifically Oncology, OR, Intensive Care areas/support.
