Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician 2- PRN to join the team. This role will be PRN; shift vary- Monday – Friday, days/evenings rotating shifts. Some weekends. Requirements
- Education: High School or GED.
- Experience: One (1) year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred. One (1) year IV training/experience required.
- Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities
- Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
- Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
- Restocks assigned areas, put away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures.
- Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes return and identifies vendor errors.
- Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses and floor stock.
- Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.
