Requirements

• Pharmacy Technician License
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Written and verbal communication skills in English commensurate with college level education
• Preference for written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and/or Punjabi
• Valid California Driver's License, proof of insurance, and personal transportation
• Demonstrate clear knowledge of Ampla Health's clinic structure, standards, procedures, and protocols

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
• Take incoming calls for patient prescription refills
• Maintain inventory of prescription medications separating 340B vs retail inventory
• Enter the inventory received from wholesaler into the computer system to maintain accurate on-hand counts and pricing
• Perform various clerical duties, clean and maintain pharmacy work areas
• Maintain prescription records in appropriate files and check medicines for expiration dates
• Call patients to schedule medication deliveries
• Maintain current pharmacy technician certification and ensure relevant certificates are submitted to HR Department
• Comply with ethical standards
• Perform daily business operations through accuracy of work and compliance with regulations
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, and comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
