About The Position

In this role you will be: Prepare, label, and package medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist Deliver medications to nursing units and patient care areas in a timely manner Accurately enter and maintain medication orders in the pharmacy information system Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations according to USP standards (including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and TPN, if applicable) Maintain accurate medication inventory, restock automated dispensing machines, and conduct periodic inventory audits Assist in medication reconciliation and billing processes Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and state/federal pharmacy regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pharmacy work areas Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care OTHER DUTIES Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Comparable experience in healthcare setting will be considered
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) obtained within 2 years of hire and maintain certification by meeting PTCB standards required.
  • Must complete registration with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy within 6 months of hire.
