About The Position
We are seeking a Pharmacy Tech for a 2-week contract opportunity with the potential to convert into a full-time position. In this role, you will support pharmacy operations in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and will be expected to assist across multiple functions.
Responsibilities
- Support a filing project expected to take approximately 40 hours
- Assist with pharmacy tech order support, including making boxes and loading or unloading ice
- Answer phones and take messages
- Track down labs for faxing
- Pick and pack items such as syringes, gauze, and ice
- Support dispatch by scanning orders into the system, reviewing for accuracy, and printing labels
- Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Assist with filling prescriptions
- Prepare IVs
- Enter prescription data
- Prepackage medications
- Support final prescription checks
- Coordinate timely deliveries
- Maintain inventory
- Track lot numbers and expiration dates
- Assist with physical inventory
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to support multiple pharmacy and operational functions in a fast-paced environment
