The Pharmacy Tech at Sam's Club is responsible for a wide range of duties within the pharmacy, ensuring efficient operation and excellent patient/member service. Key responsibilities include processing member purchases at the cash register, maintaining merchandise presentation and organization in the pharmacy area, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The role involves monitoring and resolving issues in the prescription fulfillment process, such as handling insurance claims, managing out-of-stock inventory, and obtaining physician authorizations. The technician provides direct patient/member assistance, including initiating prescription orders, resolving concerns, and assisting with over-the-counter purchases. Data entry of prescription information into pharmacy software, accurate filling of prescriptions by counting, measuring, and labeling medications, and assisting with prescription pickup using the TaSCO system are also critical. Additionally, the position requires completing work assignments, prioritizing tasks, collaborating with team members, and adhering to company policies, ethics, and integrity standards, while embodying values such as Respect the Individual, Act with Integrity, Serve our Customers and Members, and Strive for Excellence.
