Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy (must be attained within 90 days of employment)
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience
- National Certification (CPhT)
Responsibilities
- The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.
- Has the ability to participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality.
- Maintains competency in the compounding of sterile IV medications.
- Does related work, as required.
