About The Position

Pharmacy Purchase/INV Tech Specialist. Responsible for the maintenance of pharmacy inventory and contract purchasing. Reports to the Director of Pharmacy. St Luke's Baptist Hospital The Pharmacy Tech is responsible to the Registered Pharmacist and provides assistance in the dispensing functions, which include at least the following: purchasing, inventory control of all drug classes, sterile product preparation and associated equipment maintenance, and automated dispensing cabinets equipment and inventory maintenance. Also performs technical duties to maintain pharmaceutical dispensing functions to all neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including inpatients and outpatients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Pharmacy experience
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State Board of Pharmacy Registration
