About The Position

A Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions. Duties will include other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. A pharmacy technician must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. A Pharmacy Technician must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers. This is a safety sensitive job.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid state pharmacy technician license
• 2 years pharmacy experience preferred
• Knowledge of PioneerRx software preferred
• Strong math and computer skills for prescription processing
• Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and strong attention to detail required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Engages patients with professionalism and courtesy, providing assistance with products and services.
• Resolves issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Develops trust and rapport with patients, ensuring continuity of care.
• Under supervision of the pharmacist, assists in all aspects of pharmacy practice consistent with state and federal law.
• Operates Eyecon for prescription counting and verification and assists with automated dispensing through Parata Max2 and Parata PASS systems.
• Reports any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and follows company policy on quality improvement and incident documentation.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking and storing pharmaceuticals while maintaining proper documentation for inventory and non-controlled dangerous substances.
• Handles non-clinical telephone calls, including those from patients and providers, when pharmacist intervention is not required.
• Maintains a clean, organized and compliant pharmacy environment.
