About The Position

The position involves working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to fill prescriptions, deliver orders, and perform other pharmacy service duties as required. The role is essential in ensuring that patient information is accurately entered into the pharmacy computer system and that medications are processed correctly.

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (NHA) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or PTCB certification required.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician within 60 days of license application - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Experience in retail pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Enters patient information accurately into pharmacy computer system, including patient's address, phone number, allergies, and date of birth.
• Enters correct medication information, including medications, strength, route, number of refills, and physician name.
• Prioritizes work to input stat and waiting prescriptions in order of importance.
• Maintains order entry error rate.
