About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician (Non-Certified) position at Food City involves providing and promoting efficient and courteous service to customers at all times. The technician will answer telephone inquiries that do not require a pharmacist's expertise, receive written prescriptions or telephone refill requests, and gather necessary information to prepare prescriptions. Responsibilities also include recording information needed before prescriptions can be dispensed, storing written prescription forms after dispensing, entering data into the computer, stocking over-the-counter products, and placing completed prescriptions in the pick-up area. Additionally, the technician will assist in preparing insurance claims, verify payments, help customers find over-the-counter products, maintain a clean department and work area, and assist in maintaining and stocking pharmacy department supplies. The role may also involve operating a cash register and performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
