About The Position

Food City is seeking a dedicated individual to join our pharmacy team. The essential job functions include providing and promoting efficient and courteous service to customers at all times. You will be responsible for answering telephone inquiries and handling questions that do not require a pharmacist's expertise or judgment. Additionally, you will receive written prescriptions or telephone refill requests, gather necessary information to prepare prescriptions, and record information needed before prescriptions can be dispensed. You will also be tasked with storing written prescription forms after prescriptions are dispensed, entering data into the computer, stocking over-the-counter products, and placing completed prescriptions in the pick-up area. Assisting in preparing insurance claims and verifying payments, helping customers find over-the-counter products, maintaining a clean department and work area, and assisting in maintaining and stocking pharmacy department supplies are also key responsibilities. Additional job duties may be assigned as needed, and you will operate the cash register as part of your role.
