About The Position

Performs various tasks involving implementation and maintenance of the pharmacy informatics system. Ensures the effective implementation and continuous improvement of health information technology within the pharmacy department. Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and IT professionals to enhance pharmacy informatics systems. Participates in quality improvement initiatives aimed at promoting patient safety, reducing errors, and improving overall operational efficiency. Responsible for the timely completion of all assigned tasks. Performs a variety of clerical and support functions relating to the control, preparation and delivery of pharmaceutical products as deemed necessary by pharmacy leadership.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Registered with NC BOP
• Certification from the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) and maintains 20 hours of Continuing Education in pharmacy field every two years
• Satisfactorily demonstrated competency in the following areas upon completion of 90-day orientation: Electronic health record.
• Three years experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or health system setting.

Nice To Haves

• Certification or courses in specific health informatics technologies
• Associates in Information Technologies or similar
• Five years experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or health system setting.
• Experience using Meditech, Pyxis, and Logistics.
• Pharmacy Informatics experience.
