About The Position

This is an entry level position for individuals participating in a Pharmacy Technician Education Program. Upon completion of the education program and successful Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination, the Technician-in-Training will be promoted into the role of Pharmacy Technician I. This position, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, assists in the procurement, storage, preparation, distribution, delivery of medications & information and other pharmaceutical products to Phoenix Children's patients in a timely and accurate fashion and in accordance with established regulations and procedures. This position reports directly to the Pharmacy Operations Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician Trainee in the State of Arizona or able to obtain license prior to start date (Required).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement of medications and pharmaceutical products.
• Support the storage and preparation of medications.
• Help in the distribution and delivery of medications to patients.
• Provide accurate information regarding medications to patients and staff.
