About The Position
The position involves attending didactic and clinical training sessions as outlined in the Certified Pharmacy Technician course curriculum, adhering to attendance requirements. The role includes receiving training in various pharmacy departments, including inpatient, outpatient, and medication history, while observing specialized pharmacy technician duties. Responsibilities also include preparing patient medication orders in both outpatient and inpatient settings, delivering medications and IV admixtures to patient rooms and critical care areas, and managing medication charges and credits. The technician will utilize and restock automated medication dispensing machines, check medication expiration dates, compound and label products, and handle patient interactions at the point of sale.
